An article about Edyge hero by the head of the Academy D. Kydyrali

Today the Egemen Qazaqstan republican newspaper has published an article about one of the Golden Horde rulers, Edyge judge by the president of the International Turkic Academy Darkhan Kydyrali.

In the article titled “Edyge hero and people’s interest”, published within the framework of the 750th anniversary of the Golden Horde, the author analyzes historical data of the “Edige Batyr” epos, which is a common heritage of the Turkic world. He provides information about the first researchers and narrators of the epos. He told that poets (zhyraus) put the interest of the people above all, that even great khans listened to their advices. He shared data on the hard fate of the epos versions of brotherly Karakalpak and Tatar peoples. In conclusion, the author shared his opinion on the 600th anniversary of the famous epos that became an evidence of the courage and solidarity of Turkic peoples.

It is worth noting that the Egemen Qazaqstan newspaper, which is published almost every day with about 200 thousand copies, is the main publication of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Also, this year the newspaper celebrates its centenary anniversary.
