An application to include a number of Turkic heritage monuments in the UNESCO list of cultural heritage has been submitted

Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey and Tajikistan have applied for inclusion stories about Mullah Nasreddin Hooja, a common treasure of neighboring countries, in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

In addition, Turkey and Azerbaijan propose to include the Mey/Balaban musical instrument and tea culture, and the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism – to include Kusnihat, Islamic calligraphy. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey.

According to the Ministry, the applications submitted will be considered and specific decisions will be made at the meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee for Safeguarding the Intangible Heritage of UNESCO, scheduled for November 30 this year.
