Today, the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) organized an extraordinary online conference with the participation of ministers of culture.
Among participants of the conference on sustainability of activities in the cultural sphere in terms of crisis created by Covid-19 pandemic were Minister of Culture and Education of the United Arab Emirates, Chairman of the Conference Ms.Nura al-Kaabi, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen, UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Culture Ernesto Ottone Ramirez, ISESCO Director General Salim bin Mohammed AlMalik, Founder and Chairman of the Talal Abu Ghazaleh Global Organization Mr.Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Director of the International Research Center for the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) Mr. Webber Ndoro, Former Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Taleb Rifai and responsible ministers of the member states of the organization.
President of the International Turkic Academy Darkhan Kydyrali was invited to take part in the conference as the honorary guest and the international Observer organization to ISESCO.
The meeting on issues raised during the pandemic consisted of four sessions covering the state of culture during the crisis, post-pandemic culture, new trends in cultural tourism, ISESCO’s digital strategy.
Following the conference, a declaration to work in this direction was adopted.
It should be noted that the International Turkic Academy was awarded the Observer status by the joint decision made at the XII session of the ISESCO General Conference in Baku, the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2015 and established close scientific cooperation.
