Head of the Academy Darkhan Kydyrali expressed condolences over the death of academician Rabiga Syzdyk

The field of Turkology, the science of Kazakhstan has suffered an irreplaceable tragedy. Doctor of Philology, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan Rabiga Satigalikyzy Syzdyk passed away.

President of the International Turkic Academy Darkhan Kydyrali expressed condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased Rabiga Syzdyk, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Philology, Professor, prominent linguist, turkologist.

On my own behalf and on behalf of the staff of the International Turkic Academy, I express my deepest condolences to the family, friends and students of Rabiga Syzdyk, the mother of Kazakh linguistics, we are mourning with you,” the head of the Academy said.

The scholar, who devoted her life to the issues of Kazakh language, left more than 130 scientific works. Among them are the Explanatory Dictionary of Kazakh language, Orthographic dictionary of Kazakh language, Dictionary of Abay language, Kadyrgali Zhalayir’s work “Jami-al-tawarih”. Rabiga Syzdyk’s name is included in the Golden Book of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

It is worth noting that Rabiga Satigalikyzy was awarded a special prize of the International Turkic Academy the Golden Medal. The personal library of the eminent scientist was donated to the library of the Turkic Academy by the academician herself. In addition, the academician donated a number of her personal objects to the Museum of the Turkic Academy. Moreover, the International Turkic Academy held meetings dedicated to the works of the scholar and published her valuable papers.
