Head of the Turkic Academy Darkhan Kydyrali met with the staff of E.A. Buketov Karaganda State University

Today, within the visit to Karaganda, President of the International Turkic Academy Darkhan Kydyrali met with the staff and students of Academician E.A. Buketov Karaganda State University. Rector of the University Nurlan Dulatbekov, who chaired the meeting, expressed gratitude for the work done by the Turkic Academy.

The meeting involving professors and teachers of the University discussed the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. In addition, the head of the Turkic Academy told about the projects implemented by the Academy and answered questions of participants.

During the event, the Academy held a presentation of published books, namely “Jochi Khan. Collection of historical records, archeological and folklore data”, “The Golden Horde, Chagatai, Moghulistan”, “The Golden Horde: history, statehood, cultural heritage” and “Berke. Muslim on the Mongolian throne” by Russian historian A.Porsin. Darkhan Kydyrali presented these books and Rashid ad-Din’s five-volume work “Jami al-tawarih” to the library fund of the University.

At the end of the meeting, the International Turkic Academy and E.A. Buketov Karaganda University signed a memorandum of cooperation.

It should be noted that in 2018 the Academy jointly with the Saryraka Institute of Archeology at the E.A. Buketov Karaganda State University conducted excavations in the Karkaraly region, and found previously unknown to science the Asheken Sora memorial complex and the Ketaban mound dating back to the VI-VIII centuries. Archaeological finds belonging to the Turkic period have revealed the rich culture and history of Central Kazakhstan.
