Foreword by the Editor-in-chief

Dear readers!

The “GLOBAL-Turk” journal is finishing its second year. Strongly believing that we are making contribution to the scientific integration of the Turkic speaking countries and Eurasian space, we offer our readers last volumes of the journal published in 2015.

This year the Turkic Academy, as a bridge between the scientific communities of the Turkic World and Eurasia, achieved a number of successes.

The creation of the Turkic World Union of the National Academies of Sciences initiated by the Turkic Academy is the real step forward in terms of creating common scientific space.

We can proudly mention that the “Common Turkic History” school textbook prepared by the Academy had been approved by the Ministries of Education of the four Turkic speaking countries on the eve of the V Summit of the Turkic Council in Astana.

The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev highly appreciated the work of the Turkic Academy and mentioned that “within a short period it turned to a highly effective institution”.

Taking part in the important scientific events held in Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan and Hungary, we strengthened our scientific and cultural ties with our colleagues in the relative countries and regions.

Recently we joined the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) as an observer, thus making another step forward in our activities as an international organization.
