Magzhan's poems translated into 9 languages were presented
Today, the 3rd International Eurasian Book Fair was opened in Korme exhibition center in Astana.
At the opening ceremony of the Eurasian Book Fair, Secretary of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan G. Abdykalikova has made a welcoming speech and wished success to the exhibition.
Within the framework of the exhibition, which was attended by more than 100 publishing companies from 18 countries, along with a sale, there were meetings with famous home and foreign poets and writers and presentations of new books.
One this presentation was organized by the International Turkic Academy. A new collection of Magzhan’s poems translated into 9 languages dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Magzhan Zhumabayev was presented to guests from different countries.
The presentation was opened and hosted by the President of the International Turkic Academy D. Kydyrali.
"This is the first time that Magzhan's poems are translated into 9 languages and published," said the poet Ulugbek Esdaulet, the chairman of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan. “Turkish readers were the first foreign readers who got acquainted with poetry of Magzhan. And now his great poems will be able to travel around the world. On behalf of all poets, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the International Turkic Academy, which has realized this good deed!
During the exciting presentation, translators of the Academy read Magzhan's poems in their language and got the approval of the audience.
