Almaty hosted a festive event gathering fraternal people
The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a large-scale event aimed at strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. The event, which began with the opening ceremony of the Center for History and Culture of Azerbaijan, established at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University, was accompanied by a festive cultural event, reflecting the history of fraternal peoples.
Even without taking into account close political and diplomatic ties between the two countries, the common values and spiritual and cultural heritage that unite the fraternal peoples have deep roots. That is why there are many ways in which the two countries demonstrate solidarity and friendship. The event, which has united the literature and culture of both parties, is timed to the 100th anniversary of the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan and the 95th anniversary of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev.
The event was attended by the Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on political and social issues Ali Hasanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan Rashad Mammadov, President of the International Turkic Academy DarkhanKydyrali, Chancellor of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Galym Mutanov, Head of the Working Group on Interparliamentary Relations of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan at Milli Mejlis Adil Aliyev, Deputy Chairman of the National Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting of Azerbaijan and editor-in-chief of the "Caspi" newspaper Sona Valiyeva, Secretary General of TURKSOY International organization Dusen Kaseinov, as well as other representatives of intelligentsia.
The cognitive conference, held within the framework of the event, along with the personality of the first president of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev talked widely about his contribution to the unity and integrity of Turkic peoples. Participants of the event took part in a presentation of a special film on the Leader's life and career, as well as in the presentation of the book in Kazakh language about Heydar Aliyev titled “Eline zholashkan” with introduction by the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev. The new Center for History and Culture of Azerbaijan established at the National University was opened by Ali Hasanov; he said that this project resumed relations between brotherly Turkic peoples and would become a great example for the future generations and expressed his gratitude to organizers.
The center has any information about the past and present, history and culture of Azerbaijan. Many valuable documents of Heydar Aliyev are also stored here. In addition, the central fund has been filled with 100 new books donated by the International Turkic Academy. In the future, this center will expand the field of Turkic studies and become a platform for studying the history and ethnography, language and spiritual heritage of Turkic peoples.
The event was continued by a conference dedicated to the 135th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet and playwright, Hussein Jawid. At the meeting that brought together spiritual ties between two peoples, the works of the poet and the works about his poetry were discussed. New details about the life of the poet, who proposed the idea of the Turkic world, were mentioned. Galym Mutanov noted that analyzing and evaluating the work of the great person of the whole Turkic world is still the future goal of Turkic studies, and said that the National University team supported the translation of poems into Kazakh. "It is a great honor for us to bring the noble heritage of centuries to the present generation. Nursultan Nazarbayev's constructive policy in this direction can serve as an example to all Turkic peoples. Today's event is one of them, said Rashad Mammadov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan.
