The Kazakh-Kyrgyz Intellectual Forum has started


The solemn opening ceremony of the Kazakh-Kyrgyz Intellectual forum on "Chyngyz Aitmatov's Heritage: Living Together in Peace in the Age of Globalization", organized by the International Turkic Academy (TWESCO), was held in the city of Osh, Kyrgyzstan,.

Adviser to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sultan Rayev, Advisor to the President of the International Turkic Academy Yerzhan Issakulov, Governor of Osh Region Uzarbek Zhylkybaev, Mayor of Osh city Taalay Sarbashev took part in the event and congratulated guests of the forum. The forum, which will last two days, was supported by the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Osh State University. The Intellectual Forum is a continuation of events organized by the TWESCO in honor of the 90th anniversary of famous writer Chyngyz Aitmatov. The Turkic Academy has announced 2018 as the Year of Aitmatov and is organizing a number of events. In honor of the writer's anniversary, the Academy held an International forum on "Aitmatov's readings" in Astana in April of this year. The meeting was assessed as a forum of Kazakh-Kyrgyz Intellectuals. Now the forum of this format is being held in Kyrgyzstan.                                        

Kazakh and Kyrgyz writers, poets, scientists, artists and art figures are taking part in the forum in Osh. During the forum, presentation of books prepared and published by the TWESCO will be held, among them are "Aitmatov. Last Writer of Imperia" by Former Secretary of Kyrgyzstan Osmanakun Ibraimov, Magzhan Zhumabayev's collection of poems "Arystan Aybat", Kadyrali Konkabayev's "Atlas of ancient Turkic writing monuments of Altai Republic", "Historical and Comparative Dictionary of Turkic Languages ​​of 14th Century" by Emir Nacip, "Endangered Turkic languages" and other books. The forum will also include presentations, reports and exchange of views on Kazakh-Kyrgyz brotherhood, culture and literature, science and other spheres.
