Members of the International expedition organized by the Academy went from Astana to Ulytau


Today, the delegation headed by Darkhan Kydyrali, head of the International Turkic Academy (TWESCO), started the second part of the 3rd international expedition "From Kentay to Ulytau: Modernization of the Historical Memory" and went from Astana to Central Kazakhstan.

The expedition organized in order to implement the program of the Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev on "Spiritual revival" that started in Mongolian Kentay Region on 15th of August, 2017, will go through historical sites of Kazakhstan in the next two days. In particular, members of the expedition will visit the Alasha Khan and Jochi Khan mausoleums, and Dombaul historical complex in Ulytau. In addition, meetings with intellectuals of Zhezkazgan region are planned.

State and public figures, historians, media leaders and journalists from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Bashkortostan and Dagestan are members of the international expedition.

It is expected that the historical significance of the Ulytau region and the traditional continuity of statehood, as well as topical issues of the Turkic world and the Eurasian civilization will be discussed within the framework of the expedition.

It should be noted that the TWESCO will summarize and present to the public results of international expeditions held this year and earlier at the special meeting in the National Academic Library in Astana on September 18.
