Head of the Academy met with the President of the Japanese Academy of Sciences


Today, in Tokyo head of the International Turkic Academy (TWESCO), Darkhan Kydyrali met with Mr. Hiroshi Shiono, President of the Japanese Academy of Sciences.

At the bilateral meeting, organized within the working visit of the Academy’s delegation to Japan, D. Kydyrali provided detailed information about the organization. He spoke about the Academy's mission, international contacts and research projects. He also made a presentation of the scientific works prepared by the Turkic Academy and donated valuable books in English.

Mr.Hiroshi Shiono, in his turn, was deeply interested in the TWESCO and highly appreciated its activity. He also introduced the Academy led by him and its activities.

During the meeting in a friendly atmosphere, the sides established cooperation between two fundamental scientific centers and discussed possibilities of joint projects.

It should be noted that the Japanese Academy of Sciences, which is considered one of the world's leading scientific organizations, was established by example of the London Royal Society in the Meiji period in 1879. The Academy, which has been working fruitfully since its foundation, is now attached to the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
