Magzhan's selected works were published in Kyrgyz language


Presentation of Magzhan Zhumabayev's collection of works translated in Kyrgyz language and published by the International Turkic Academy (TWESCO) was held at the II Kazakh-Kyrgyz Intellectual forum on "Chyngyz Aitmatov's Heritage: Living Together in Peace in the Age of Globalization" in Osh, Kyrgyzstan.

The collection titled "Arystan Aybat" was translated in Kyrgyz language by Kyrgyz poet, the chairman of the Writers' Union of Kyrgyzstan Akbar Ryskulov. The translator noted that the book includes about 80 poems of Magzhan and the "Batyr Bayan" and "Korkyt baba" epics. Thus, the Academy has made huge work in the way of promoting Magzhan Zhumabayev's works to brotherly Turkic people and the world.

Recall that last spring the TWESCO collected Magzhan Zhumabayev’s poems in 9 languages, in particular English, Turkish, Azerbaijani, Mongolian, Uzbek, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Altai, Bashkir, and published them as one book. Moreover, in May, in Uzbekistan the Academy presented poet’s collection of works translated in Uzbek, the book titled "Tanlangan asarlar" (Танланған асарлар).

125 years passed since the birth of the poet, who dreamed about the freedom and unity of the Turkic people, united Turkestan. In this regard, the TWESCO has declared 2018 as the Year of Magzhan.
