The final Draft Textbook of Common Turkic history was approved


Today, the final meeting of the experts on discussion of the Draft Textbook of Common Turkic History till 15th century prepared by the Academy was held in the International Turkic Academy (TWESCO) in Astana.

Representatives of the Ministries of Education of the Turkic Council member states - Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, experts from the Turkic Council and the International Turkic Academy, as well as historians participated in the meeting.

Experts from the special Working Group have been discussing the Draft Textbook for three days (September 25-27) and complementing the content with the necessary corrections. Experts who took part in the discussion took into consideration the decisions taken at the Fourth Meeting of the Ministers of Education of the Turkic-speaking countries.

At the meeting moderated by the head of the Academy Darkhan Kydyrali, the parties approved the final Draft Textbook of Common Turkic History. 

The Textbook for 8th grade students of secondary schools covers the period from ancient times to the 15th century and consists of 7 sections.

As a result of the meeting the Working Group adopted a Special Protocol. 

According to the protocol, the Draft Textbook will be presented at the 6th Summit of the Heads of Turkic Council member states which is scheduled to be held in Kyrgyzstan in March 2018.

It should be noted that participants of the meeting highly appreciated the work of the Turkic Academy which prepared and published the Textbook of Common Turkic History till 15th century.
