Congratulatory letters of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov were read at the international forum on "Revival of Identity and Cultural Heritage: Turkic language from Past to Future"
"I sincerely congratulate participants of the forum organized by the International Turkic Academy! I believe that scholars, Turkologists, researchers from about twenty countries of the world will be able to strengthen relationship among Turkic-speaking peoples," said Anar Kariyev, permanent representative of Azerbaijan to UNESCO while reading I.Aliyev's letter.
In addition, the President of Azerbaijan stressed the importance of holding the event in UNESCO, which is engaged in the protection of the world cultural heritage. I.Aliyev also expressed confidence that the forum along with contributing to strengthening relations between Turkic peoples will also promote scientists and researchers to interact.
"Azerbaijan always supports development of relations between Turkic-speaking states and peoples in all spheres. I am convinced that discussions within the Forum will help to solve the problems faced by Turkic languages today, and to strengthen partnerships and cooperation," the letter states.
Then the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to France Aseyin Issayev read letter of congratulations from S. Jeenbekov. In his address, the head of Kyrgyzstan stressed the importance of mentioning the 90th anniversary of Chyngyz Aitmatov within the forum.
"Chyngyz Aitmatov is a well-known Kyrgyz humanist-writer, dramatist, prominent state and public figure. His works reflect the past and future, unite national and global issues, and have expanded the worldview of his contemporaries", stated the letter, along with the importance of Sh. Aitmatov’s works.
S. Jeenbekov also noted that in October 2018 Kyrgyzstan will host a large summit dedicated to Chyngyz Aitmatov. "I wish success to participants of the forum organized by UNESCO and the International Turkic Academy", concluded the congratulatory letter of the President of Kyrgyzstan.
It should be noted that the event is held at the UNESCO headquarters in order to contribute to the strategic task on "Protecting, Promoting and Transmitting Heritage". The event, organized for implementing the President's program on "Modernization of Identity", aims at studying and promoting values of the Turkic world.
Scholars, public figures and representatives of arts, politicians and diplomats from 16 countries participated in the event. Within the framework of the Forum, participants made reports at three panel sessions: Old Turkic Inscriptions, Literary Heritage of Turkic Language and Region of the Turkic Language Spread.
