Presidents of Uzbekistan and Turkey spoke on the phone


President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a telephone conversation on February 7. The press service of the President of Uzbekistan reports.

The heads of states emphasized that Mirziyoyev's state visit to Turkey in October 2017 raised a multifaceted and mutually beneficial Uzbek-Turkish cooperation to a qualitatively new level.

The sides discussed the implementation of joint agreements reached during that historic visit, as well as the implementation of joint fundamental projects in trade and economy, investment, technology, banking and finance, and tourism.

In turn, R.T. Erdoğan thanked Sh. Mirziyoyev for the decision of 30 days visa-free regime for Turkish citizens to stay in Uzbekistan.

In addition, the heads of states exchanged views on international and other topical issues of the agenda.
