The issues of modern Turkic studies were discussed in Kazakhstan


The international scientific-theoretical conference on "Modern Turkology" organized jointly by International organization TURKSOY and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Istanbul University and A. Baitursynov Institute of Linguistics was held in the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Embassies and consulates of Turkic-speaking countries in Kazakhstan, representatives of Turkic-speaking cultural centers under the Assembly of Peoples of Kazakhstan, and prominent scholars and researchers studying Turkology participated in the Conference where the issues of history and common culture, language and literature of the Turkic peoples were discussed.

At the opening ceremony, a special congratulatory letter from the head of the International Turkic Academy (TWESCO) Darkhan Kydyrali was read by the Academy’s expert Zhanat Momynkulov.

There were reports and presentations on actual problems of modern philology and translation theory; spiritual culture and modern approach to philosophy and history; innovative technologies of foreign language teaching methods.

It should be noted that the articles and reports presented at the conference were published as a special scientific collection.
