Hungary applied for the status of an observer to the International Turkic Academy


Today, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Mr.Peter Szijjarto, who arrived in the International Turkic Academy (TWESCO), has officially applied for Hungary’s status of full-fledged observer to the Academy.

Delegation led by the Minister also included State Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Ishtvan Mikola, Deputy Secretary of State Zsolt Csutora, Director of the Department for Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Victor Sederkeni, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Kazakhstan Andras Barani, as well as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Hungary Rustem Nurbakh.

Head of the Academy Darkhan Kydyrali met highly esteemed guests and gave detailed information about activities and history of the organization.

The Minister highlighted the role of TWESCO in studying nomadic civilization and praised the work of the Academy.

The parties agreed to further develop bilateral scientific cooperation and to carry out joint projects in the future. Those projects that were implemented as a result of the partnership between Hungary and the Academy were also discussed. Moreover, issues of cooperation with the Hungarian National Academy of Sciences were discussed.

It should be noted that the International Turkic Academy is the first organization among Turkic world cooperation institutes to receive applications for observer status.
