6th Summit is dedicated to National Sports and Youth Policy
The 6th summit of the Turkic Council begins in Kyrgyzstan on September 3. The opportunities of strengthening Turkiс integration through sports and youth policy will be discussed at the summit.
It is expected that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov and President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan will attend the summit on “Types of National Sports and youth policy”. In addition, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is expected to participate in the summit as Uzbekistan pays great attention to this year's Summit.
During the Summit, views on deepening Turkic integration in the fields of culture, sports and education will be exchanged. At the same time, a number of documents will be signed during the 6th summit. Among them are documents related to TWESCO activities.
Recall that the Turkic Council summit is held every three years. Heads of Turkic-speaking states met in this format in Astana in 2015. The summit of heads of states of the Turkic Council for the first time was held on "Economic Cooperation of Turkic-Speaking Countries" in Almaty in 2011, the next on "Cooperation in the Cultural and Humanitarian Spheres" in Bishkek in 2012, in 2013 on "Cooperation in Transport and Communications" in the city of Gabala, Azerbaijan, in 2014 on “Cooperation in Tourism” in Bodrum, Turkey, in 2015 on “Cooperation in Information Sphere" was held in Astana in 2015.
At the 6th Summit of Heads of Turkic-Speaking States, Kazakhstan will hand over the chairmanship of the Council to the Republic of Kyrgyzstan.
