Turkey, Azerbaijan sign “Shusha Declaration”

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and met on Tuesday in the historic city of Shusha where the two leaders have signed the “Shusha Declaration”, a pact that focuses on defence cooperation and establishing new transportation routes, “AZƏRTAC” reports.

The “Shusha Declaration” ensures assistance to each country in case of threats from other states, and that joint meetings are frequently held on security issues, the launch of the “Zangezur corridor”, the opening of the Turkish Consulate in Shusha and the expansion of cooperation at the international level, strengthening political and trade and economic ties, joint activities in culture, education, sports, youth policy.
